Which program? Which operating system? Does anything ever happen if you wait a while? _________________ Did you know?

I am using winxp pro media center edition but i have seen this in win xp pro s p2 too!
and the programs are easyboot and alchoal120%
but i think it is not related to the specified program because the former times that i had this problem it was about another program (i guess it was my photoshop)
no nothing happens when i execute it!
now any ideas how can i get rid off this problem? |

Does it make any difference if you Right click the icon and select Open?
Does it behave the same for every program? If so I would look at the Mouse properties in control panel for double click speed. _________________ Foxynox

Do you get an application hang error in the event viewer which could because the program and the associated dll module stopped responding
under such circumstances if click the application multiple times then it will open multiple instances of the application which will not help the situation
Also do you face this situation immediatelyafter the application hangs also does the problem persists after a restart Is this random issue has the application permenantely stopped responding |

first i should say that i tried opening the file by rightclicking and selecting open! and i know my mouse is configured properly!
then about the event viewer! i deleted all events then executed the file that i had problem with but nothing logged into event viewer(i refreshed the event viewer too) and i have this problem with just 2 of my applications!
and another thing when i first installed those applications they were working fine for 2 days after i installed windows but now they do not execute!
any other ideas friends? |

Both of these software types work with your CD and DVD. Are there any issues with your hardware? ie CD Drive or DVD ROM?
Do you have any virtual CD/DVD drives set up that could be upsetting the software?
If you are not getting any answers fast, I would contact both the manufactures own support desks. They are more likely to find a solution quickly. _________________ Foxynox

I guess its possible that your Windows installation is messed up. You could try repairing it with the installation CD. _________________ Did you know?

Have you tried something really simple like creating a new shortcut to the program? _________________ A+, Network+ |

I would try SFC /scannow, for file integrity, or you could just reinstall the OS. _________________ i remain, he who remains to be....
