Hello mates, I thought that this topic maybe of useful help to all people to get some experience in how to deal with strange interview questions.
I`ll start by myself, I was taking a course about how to deal with interviews and how to write resumes and C.V`s and son , here is the question I was asked:
If you are asked to be a CAR "yes you will be the car itself" , would you choose to be a BMW M3 or a Hyundai?
Its true, the topic behind the question to know your personality, extravagent , economic, and you have to discuss your choice.
well this topic is free for all to post any weird questions and answers to share with the others. _________________ MCSA 2003:Messaging, CCNA, BSCI, BCRAN

How much money are you looking to make?
very tricky question, You may reply with something like "With the skills I have on my resume and the skills needed for the job what is the appro. salary range?" or something like that can't think of the best wording right now.
Also another good way is to just answer with a range. say you want atleast 35K then answer " I would like to make 36K to 38K" (but in your head you will settle for 35K or just simply upper 30s but be careful you won't believe what upper thirties means to some CFOs (so is 28K good then? ) Basically try to throw this questions back as much as possible, This is probably and remain to be one of the trickest things to talk about with a new employer. Just remember the first to speak loses, most of the time though you are forced to speak or you lose a great job op.
BMW or Hyundai....Hyundai is cheaper but jeez kind of waste of money on the other handa BMW very nice car but maybe a little too much and a waste of money as well. I think I would answer with neither. Or maybe ask the question of "what am I going to need it for?" Currently in my life now the hyundai is the only solution...scary huh? _________________ ~aplusnetplusmctssqltwothousandsandfive~

Neither. I would be an AMC Pacer...Ecclectic. Then I would do 20 jumping jacks and sit down as though nothing happened.
That should work for most network engineering positions.

What are your strengths and weaknesses in IT? - I hate that one.
In IT in General
mmmmm then should I answer straight forward, for example: points of strengths: IP schemes and DHCP or should I use a tricky answer or a special one?? _________________ MCSA 2003:Messaging, CCNA, BSCI, BCRAN

weakness.....donuts
but you should have atleast one weakness that you can point out. It shows you are always trying to improve and better yourself, nobody is perfect. Make it sound as good as possible and be sure to include something positive you are doing to improve the weakness. _________________ ~aplusnetplusmctssqltwothousandsandfive~

I have a weakness that can be used by all that isn't actually a weakness in the eyes of the employer. Here it is:
" My major weakness is not being able to put a job down at the end of the day. I am one that would rather finish it before leaving then wait until tomorrow. This means that sometimes my family would have to wait so I can finish what I started at work."
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, Marlboro in one hand, Jack Daniels in the other, totally worn out and screaming WOO HOO what a ride!

I'd be a Chevy or a Ford...buy American
Money question answer:
I'd say, "I'm making in the low 50's now."
If they said, "But what would you be willing to start at," they'd lose 3 Brownie points and i'd answer, "Are you making me an offer?"
First one who names a price is the loser.
For my weak point, I like the idea above about not being able to put a project down(: But I might be inclined to tell them a weak point...if only I had one, lol
In the "questions department:"
Here's a really neat set of questions. I won't post the key here and give it away so as not to ruin it for the next guy, but if anyone answers here, I'll PM them with the answer key
Here's the questions, I can't expand on any of them, so if someone has a question about a question, lol, the answer is "Take the question any way you wish." Each question asks for 4 answers, but you can have more or less.
Question 1:
Name your favorite color, and 4 feelings or emotions that color evokes in you.
Question 2:
Name your favorite animal, and 4 qualitys of that animal.
Question 3:
Your on an island. Name 4 feelings or emotions you'd have.
Question 4:
You're sitting in a white chair in a white room. There are no details, the floor, walls, and ceiling are just white. Someone opens a door and throws in a bucket of water. Name 4 emotions or feelings you might have.
