I'm on a roll today... (or very bored).... the first 4 topics I was the last to post ... Smile

Why not post a photo of your home server, or home equipment, or network....

This is how my desk use to look like a couple of weeks ago. My home network has duplicated, but I don't have any recent photos yet......

I'm disappointed.

I was expecting to see three dozen empty cans of Busch Light along with the dismembered bottle-opening-finger of Eric the Drunk.

They are my towers. Got them used when I was working at a moving company 2-3 years ago. I used to get 2-3 old computers and build one.

Actually I posted the wrong information on the first thread. This picture is about 2 years old, It's from when I started studying computers.

Back them I had the server running Windows Server 2003, 1 PC with Red Hat 9 (never used), 1PC with NT 4, one with ME, another with XP/longhorn and my desktop with had XP Pro. I have changed the whole network to this...

My desktop is XP Pro and my laptop (that I use the most) is Ubuntu. Those others computers have become a web/ftp server, firewall, NAS and a PC for my daughter...

Nope. That was just some stupid thing I did. I plugged flashing LEDs with different colors on the open HD, under the memory sticks and under the cpu fan. I'd them plug it all on the power supply... Looked really nerdy!!!

That's some neat desk you got there!!!! Did you also clean that up for the pic as well?

Thanks! I didn't clean it other than removing the beer bottles. Smile I am the clean and organized type, unlike my wife whose desk is shown in the 2nd pic..

victorbrca,

After looking at that diagram, are you saying that you have 10 computers running in your house?

You are a huge nerd.. Laughing

I say that with affection and some admiration.. Smile

Lol.... I'd have to admit that not all are actually running... I have another 2 computer swhich I'm not using at the moment... lol

But not all the computers are mine... 2x are my mother's, 2x for my 2x sisters (1x each) and another for my daughter... Smile

My 2 servers, my firewall and my desktop are usually on all the time!!!

Desk at home

Server at home is a headless dual PIII box that sits in the basement. Not much to see there. Smile
