Have you set up an MX record with your ISP and opened port 25 on the firewall?

what error are you getting when trying to send emails from an outside account.

jsut go to an account outside of the orgaization get the error message and go form there.

if you post the error I'm sure we can help

also are u sure it isn't caught in a spam filter??

So your USER is the only one not recieving emails from the outside? Try looking at the Exchange System Manager and mail tracking. Look through the Event Log on your server as well. Are you not getting email from any outside sources or just the 1-2 you tried?

Probably not the case; however, I had a problem where I would get half the mail sent to me from inside or outside the company. I dug through the Event Log and tracked my messages. Turned out it was a problem with CRM and some mail conduit it uses.

i get all mail from inside network and i am also getting alot of "system administrator undeliverable returned mail" in my mailbox. and they are all saying "the following recipient could not be reached" and shows the username@domain.net does not exist. and really just looks people making mistakes typing an email address and i get the report delievered to my outlook. but no outside mail comes in. ill check the logs and post back.
