Hey all i ordered a nice polo shirt and pen from the MCSE store on the MCP site and just got em today.
The shirt is really good quality and cost me 13.95.
Then pen looks really nice as well.
I'm going to wear the shirt when i go to MS seminars and stuff.
Has anyone else ordered from there?
AKay

I think it's a bit tacky that a certified professional has to PAY for clothing to advertise for the company.

I don't pay for any vendor clothing. Period. But I have a lot of it!

That's one good thing about working in the IT technology field, you'll never run out of shirts.

I got a couple MCP Polos from the MCP estore when I got certified. I was starting a new job and needed some new polos and these were cheap and good quality.

Then they decided we had to get polos with the company name on them so I don't really were them anymore.

Things sound a lot more casual over in the US, here I've never worked for a company that didn't expect me to wear a suit.

When I'm really trying to kick back I like to put on my old yellow hat and tie, lol

Out here IT people are known to be very eccentric dressing people lol.
Ive been to places where the IT manager has tongue rings, nose rings and tattoos.
Im job hunting right now and i prefer a business casual environment as opposed to a professional one.
So I ask the headhunters whats the dress code for the jobs they try and place me to.
I dont want to look like a penguin unless im in senior management.

Laughing Sad but true. They make me wear tie/dress shirt/dress shoes for a tech job making $16/hr. I get mad every time I dress up for work.

That's the one thing my job really has going for it. I usually show up in a tshirt and jeans.

I wear a polo shirt when I dress up. Smile

We are Kakhi's and polos. Jeans on Friday. If I want to be a rebel, I won't shave for a few days. That seems to be okay, but if I show up in jeans before Friday, that is grounds for termination!! Very Happy

Don't think I've ever seen anyone NOT wear jeans and a raggy t-shirt in Symantec unless they had an interview or were flying out to meet a customer ...

If someone tried to introduce a dress code it would be completely ignored ...
