    Microsoft 2003 Upgrade Exams
According to an article posted at MCP Magazine, upgrade exams to the Windows Server 2003 track will not be as intensive as the last round in which the 70-240 exam was offered to upgrade from Windows NT to Windows 2000. For those who are not aware, the 70-240 exam was 4 hours in duration and covered 4 regular exams worth of material. Needless to say, very few people passed it and a lot of controversy was raised over the exam.

This next round will offer exam 70-292 "Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment for an MCSA Certified on Windows 2000" and 70-296 "Managing and Maintaining a Windows Server 2003 Environment for an MCSE Certified on Windows 2000". The article states that these exams will be as short as (or even shorter) than a standard MCP exam. Furthermore, it is stated that you will be allowed to retake the exam if you fail.
