These free exams are for Cisco BSCI (640-901), CIW Security Professional and CIW Internetworking Professional. We have also added 12 new questions to our Network+ exam. Our 28 free practice exams can be found here. Security+: We posted a resource page for CompTIA's brand new Security+ certification which was released today. To kick off the new section, we published an article by Jason Zandri titled Introduction to Security+. Security+ to Launch CompTIA's Security+ exam is scheduled to launch on December 2. Like most of CompTIA's certifications, this exam will cover vendor-neutral security topics. To view more information about this certification, visit our resource page. CIW Cert Owner in Financial Trouble? Prosoft Training is the owner of the Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) series of certifications and is apparently in financial trouble. Citing cashflow problems, the company has reportedly been seeking to sell part or all of its assets since July of this year. CertCities' web site reports that Prosoft Training is currently in negotiations with an anonymous prospective buyer. To read more about this development, click here. New Salary Survey Traditionally, we are all used to seeing MCP Magazine's yearly salary survey, however, this is not the only one out there. Certification Magazine just released their 2nd annual salary survey which can be viewed here. Hiring Slump to Continue An article posted by MCP Magazine states that according to a study by ITAA, the hiring in the IT industry is likely to remain deflated in the near future. To read the full article, click here. CheetSheets Sentencing Delayed Again So much for a speedy trial. Robert Keppel's trial has been delayed again. Originally slated for November 1, it was delayed until November 22 and now has been pushed back to January 24th. Robert Keppel was the owner of CheetSheets and pled guilty to theft of trade secrets for selling Microsoft exam questions.
