Due to the enormous amount of time that we have spent upgrading our site,
this newsletter will mainly focus on new additions and what you can
expect from us in the near future.
If you have been to our site lately, you may have noticed that we have
completed a slight re-design of the web site. We have kept the
navigation almost entirely the same as it was before, but have added
new features.
The MC MCSE Training Directory is live!!! Most of us self-study for
certification and one of the hardest tasks in getting certified is
deciding which products to use. You will see questions on this subject
all over the forums on various certification sites. We have created a
directory that lists training products that are categorized by
certification and type of training to help you locate the products that
will enable you to get certified. These products can be rated and
reviewed by you and your peers which helps others determine which
products are the most effective. The directory currently contains
training materials for MCSE, Cisco, A+, Network+. I-Net+, Server+, CIW
and MOUS certifications. More will be added in the near future. Click here to visit the new directory.
We have added a brand new CIW Foundations practice exam to our Testing Center. There are
currently 50 free questions available.
We have added 7 new questions to our I-net+ practice exam which can be
found in our Testing Center.
We are currently working on our new CIW section. As mentioned above, we
have already added a practice exam for CIW Foundations and are
developing additional resources for this certification. New additions
will be announced in this newsletter.

| Why You Should Go To College: |
|
We receive a ton of email and forum posts from young people asking about
certification and how to obtain employment straight out of high school. In
this featured article, we take a look at the reasons that one might want to
consider college before jumping into the working world and why seasoned
veterans might want to think about getting a degree or continuing their
post-secondary education.

| Microsoft MCSE Training Being Faulted: |
|
Computerworld recently published an article in which IT Professionals and
trainers blame the lack of security training required for MCSEs for the
proliferation of code red and other viruses. While this article has been out
for about a week now, we wanted everyone to see it as it raises interesting
concerns about the MCSE program. Read the full article.
If you would like to discuss this topic, please visit our forums.
Our most recent survey question asked, "The MCSE+Internet cert is going away.
Are you interested in CIW certification to go with your MCSE?". The results were as follows:
60% - Yes
20% - No
20% - Not sure
There were 707 respondents.
We would highly recommend an additional certification to the MCSE that
includes internet and security topics such as those covered by the CIW
certifications. A timely survey given the release of the "Microsoft MCSE
Training Faulted" article listed above.
