WHATS NEW:
--- For quite a while now, we have been your source for certification and employment resources. We now intend to keep you around a little longer by developing a technical library where you will have access to tutorials and other resources that will help you on the job or simply provide an additional opportunity to learn more. This library is called Tech Tutorials and includes tutorials and whitepapers written by us and others. In fact, there are already 350 networking tutorials, 80 Windows 95/98 tutorials and dozens of Windows NT 4.0 papers posted and this is just the beginning. In the spirit of this expansion of our scope, our site can now also be reached at: http://www.techtutorials.com. In the links located on the left side of our site, you will now see a link to Tech Tutorials. Check it out, have a look around and let us know what you think. Remember, this is for you so let us know what you would like to see there and we will try to accommodate you.

--- We have added a new webring to the certification world called Certify 2000. Sure there are a ton of certification webrings out there, but many of them are full of websites that are no longer updated and never removed. This is the same situation with the search engines and it makes it difficult for all of you to find what you are looking for. With the Certify 2000 webring, we are hoping to create a list of the best current MCSE websites that will lead us right through the Windows 2000 generation.

LINKS OF NOTE:
As promised, here is a list of some of the important links to resources on Microsofts often confusing website.

SURVEY RESULTS:
Our most recent survey asked the following question: Where are you at in the certification process?

46% Have not started yet.
39% Finishing my MCSE on the NT 4 track.
3% Trying to qualify for 2000 upgrade.
6% Qualified for upgrade, but not an MCSE.
6% I am an MCSE.
There were 1348 respondents.

It is quite shocking that only 3% are working towards their upgrade to the 2000 track and 39% are still working towards NT 4.0 certification!!! In our humble opinion, the only people that should still be working toward their NT 4.0 cert are people that need it for a specific purpose such as:
1) Required by your employer in order to maintain the companys Solutions Provider status.
2) Are looking for employment now or in the near future and hope that an MCSE will help land a better job.
3) Just want to learn the material and are not concerned with maintaining their certification status.
4) Really like taking MCSE exams.
For those of you that are unclear on our position here, read our article on this at: http://www.mcmcse.com/study/win2000.shtml. Since we are on the subject, we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the upgrade exam to Windows 2000 is free. The bad news is that you will only have 1 shot at it. No pressure!
