A+ Materials:
The biggest news is that we added a massive A+ study guide to the site. This is by far the biggest and best guide we have ever put together. For many people, this may replace the need to buy a book.
We also added detail pages for A+ Essentials and IT Technician. Next we will be finishing up the practice exams.
New CCNP Exam Materials:
We have added an exam details page for Cisco's CCNP ONT (642-845) exam. We then added 2 new tutorials for this certification titled Priority Queuing and QoS Models.

Both Microsoft and Cisco have dropped Prometric or VUE as a test provider. Microsoft dropped VUE and will now only offer exams through Prometric. The official date of the switch is August 31st. VUE will honor exams already booked until December 31st. At nearly the same time, Cisco announced that they decided to drop Prometric as a provider and now VUE will solely have that responsibility. Both companys claim the timing and decisions were a coincedence.

| :: CompTIA i-Net+ Retirement :: |

CompTIA has announced that it will retire their i-Net+ certification on December 31st, 2007. There will not be an update, it is a retirement. The certificaton will remain valid for the 20,000+ individuals who have passed the exam and for anyone who achieves it before the deadline.
CompTIA sites a decline in internet only jobs as the reason for the retirement.

Cisco has announced that they have updated their CCDP certification. The largest portion of the update is the update to the Designing Cisco Network Service Architecture (ARCH) v2.0 course and exam (642-873) in which 90% of the materials were updated.

The prestigious Cisco CCNA certification is going to become even more prestigious later this year - and from all accounts, even more difficult! The current 640-801 exam will be phased out on November 6, giving candidates plenty of time to prepare for that exam. The new 640-802 exam is actually being introduced August 1, giving CCNA candidates an option as to which exam to take.
Naturally, CCNA candidates have a lot of questions regarding these changes. I've prepared this FAQ to answer the most common questions arriving in my email inbox. If your question isn't answered here, send it to me and your question just might be in the next FAQ!
