:: Cisco Updates CCSP ::

Networking professionals pursuing Cisco CCSP certification now have updated training available to help them prepare for the required, recently updated Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SNRS) exam.

The revitalized Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches (SNRS) curriculum features:

* More labs
* An update to the Layer 2 Security module delving further into DHCP Snooping
* New modules for securing the network environment using Trust and Identity and Network Foundation Protection

Additional updates include new Cisco technologies featuring implementation of Adaptive Threat Defense to increase security effectiveness and Secured Connectivity VPNs for configuring multiprotocol routing, creating dynamic multipoint VPNs, and utilizing HTTPS to help ensure secure connectivity. The new curriculum introduces enhanced Cisco IOS Security features and provides a foundation for students to obtain the knowledge and advanced security skills needed to secure Cisco IOS Software-based router and switch networks.

The new Securing Networks with Cisco Routers and Switches exam is one of five exams required to achieve the CCSP professional-level certification.

MCSA/MCSE Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-270) - By Wolfy
This is a good book but not great. I would expect an MS Press book to cover everything but it doesnt. It has most of the topics but some seem to lack substance. Its a seemingly generic text with little substance about hows and whys.
"This is how it is done, on to the next subject" type of responses to topics. Overall its helpful but like all tech reads it is not the end all be all, you will need other resources.

MCSE Windows XP Professional Exam Cram 2 - By Wolfy
Exam cram is not the great guide that it used to be. It used to be the Cliff/Monarch Notes of the IT cert books. It still gives great info but doesnt seem to have the intrest that it used to have. Still like using the practice questions at the end, they are very helpful.

Please review the books and products you have used in our training directory. It only takes a couple minutes of your time and greatly helps others.
