New Glossary:
We have added a new glossary to the site that includes definitions for technical and certification terms. With this initial launch we have 261 terms listed, but many more will be added in the coming days and weeks. We did our best to include diagrams and links to additional reading, when applicable. If you come across a term that is not currently listed, feel free to let us know.
Click here to check out the new glossary.
New Tutorials:
We have added the following 2 tutorials to the site:
CompTIA Network+ - Network Interface Cards (NICs)
Cisco CCNA - MAC Addressing Formats And Broadcasts
A+ Materials:
Many of you are probably wondering when we will be updating our A+ materials for the new objectives. The answer is that this will occur early next year. We hope to at least have our practice test upgraded by the end of January. My guess is that with this timeline, we will likely be the first free site to release new materials.
CompTIA has announced that they will be updating their Security+ exam. We do not yet know any dates or time-frames which suggests that the release of the new exam is still quite a ways away. This exam has not been updated since 12/02/02, which is its first release.

Network+ Study Guide, 4th Edition - Sybex
 |
This book is so much better written than the A+ door stop. I think DG & Co have removed the waffle, and given what any exam taker wants, and that's the info req'd. Not looking forward to the exam, but I think with this book I stand a good chance. Yet to try the on CD exams, or flash cards, but if the A+ ones were anything to go by, I think anyone will be given a thorough test. Good luck to anybody else about to take the N+ exam ...
