Cisco announces comprehensive updates to the professional-level CCSP certification, and the Cisco Qualified Specialist security certifications. These updates are intended to support the increasing demand for network professionals who can deploy, support, and optimize a cost-effective, self-defending network.
The new security curriculum provides the up-to-date product and application instruction that will help candidates to use firewalls, secure remote access, intrusion prevention, and other key assets to create a converged security platform. Five recommended training courses and five required exams comprise the new CCSP certification curriculum. The same courses and exams also comprise the basis of the Cisco Qualified Specialist security certifications.

MCSE Self-Paced Training Kit: Microsoft Windows Server 2003 Core Requirements, Exams 70-290, 70-291, 70-293, 70-294
Review by RZetlin
The MCSE kit from Microsoft is not for beginners. The books make the assumption that you already have a solid background in network administration. Steps and explanation are not in detailed leaving new readers confused. I dont recommend this book for somebody who is just starting out with networking.
Network+ Certification All-in-One Exam Guide, Third Edition (All-in-One)
Review by RZetlin
Easy to read and understand. If you are just starting out with networking I recommend this book.
MCSA MCSE: Windows 2000 Network Management Study Guide with CDROM
Review by highnoon
This is a large and long book, but is worth it just for the CD that's included. It has a .pdf copy of the book, practice tests and great simulations that show you instead of just having to read about it. Highly recommend it.
CCNA Certification Library (CCNA Self-Study, exam #640-801), Sixth Edition
Review by bObOt
Great set of books, gives you all you need to know to pass the CCNA. The practice question on the CD are also a great source for learning. Excellent book for people new to networking, this was the only books I used and I had zero knowledge of networks at the start.
