    :: What's New @ MC MCSE ::

    We have been working hard on our practice tests over the last couple of weeks and have several updates to report as follows:

    Linux+ Practice Test Finished:
    We have added 61 more questions to our free CompTIA Linux+ practice test making a total of 236 questions. This practice test is finished and we would like to thank Drewm320 for writing this test for us.

    New Cisco Practice Test:
    We have added a new free practice test for Cisco's BCMSN (642-811) exam. We have 50 more questions to add and hope to have this completed by the next newsletter. Thanks to Headhunter for authoring this test for us.

    Updated Network+ Test:
    We have partially updated our Network+ test to better match the current objectives. All of the irrelevant questions have been removed. Phase II of this project will involve adding new questions that cover newer technologies addressed by the current objectives. These questions will begin showing up over the next couple of weeks.

    New Moderator:
    The moderators on our site are volunteers and it is inevitable that we will periodically lose some of them. Recently we lost a couple of our mods, and while we were very sad to see them go, we have found a couple of very good replacements. Gorebrush has become the moderator of several of our Microsoft Certification forums. He has contributed a lot over the last couple of months and we are honored to have him on board. As we announced in the last newsletter, Nanoruler is moderating a forum for us as well. Because of the contributions of our moderators, we all remain in good hands.

    :: MCDST Popularity Growing ::

    According to an article on MCPMag.com, Microsoft has experienced rapid growth in the MCDST program. They have reported that over 8,000 people have achieved the MCDST in the first 6 months of 2005.

    Al Valvano of Microsoft Learning attributes the big numbers to HR departments and hirers becoming more familiar with the certification.

    :: Microsoft 2nd Shot Reminder ::

    Just a reminder that Microsoft's 2nd Shot program is slated to expire on August 31st, 2005. This means that you have to register for the program and take your first attempt before this date. You have until September 30th to take the 2nd attempt if you fail the first time.
