More Free Practice Test Questions: We have added a new practice exam for Microsoft's "Implementing and Managing Microsoft Exchange Server 2003" exam (70-284). The test currently has 20 questions, but more are on the way. We have added another 55 questions to our Linux+ exam making a total of 130. There are still about 100 more questions coming. You can access our free exams in our Testing Center. New Cisco Tutorial: We have added a short CCNA tutorial titled, "Guide To ARP, IARP, RARP, and Proxy ARP". This tutorial was contributed by Chris Bryant, CCIE #12933. Training Directory Update: We have added a new CISSP book section to our Training Directory. Check out the available books here. Removal of Remotely Hosted Avatars: I have removed the ability to use avatars hosted on other servers in our forums. Just to explain, here are the reasons for this: 1) People were using oversized images that screw up the formating of the pages. 2) The file size of some of the avatars being used was over 1mb. 3) Causes unsightly broken images when the remote location removes the image. You can still upload your own image to our server in your profile as long as it meets the specs described there. Also, I have uploaded a ton of new avatars to our gallery that you can use as well. This may not be a permanent change, but I do want to try this out and see if it works a little better for us.
CompTIA has raised their exam prices by 5 percent, the first price hike by CompTIA since April of 2003. The change is already in effect and affects all exams. Vouchers that were purchased under the old pricing scheme are still valid and no additional money is required. Read the full story here.
According to an article on CertCities, CompTIA has announced that they will retire the English version of their e-Biz+ certification exam at the end of this year. CompTIA cited a lack of interest in the English version, however, the Japanese version will remain available.
Red Hat has announced a limited time offer for their new Red Hat Certified Architect certification. Those enrolling in Enterprise Architect courses and taking the corresponding exam can retake the exam for free if they fail. The exam must be purchased and attended the same week as the course. Re-take is limited to that specific exam and must be attended within 90 days of the initial failed exam. This offer is available through December 31, 2005.
