What's New @ MC MCSE:

What Do You Want From Us?
We recently asked this question to all of you in the form of a poll question in our forums. 55% of the respondents voted for adding more practice exams to the site and 22% voted for more study guides. These are the areas where we will be focusing our efforts in the future (read below). Thanks to everyone who participated.

New Practice Exam:
Koen Pintens (Headhunter) has authored a free practice test for Cisco's BSCI (642-801) exam. Our test currently has 50 questions, however, more will be added very soon. We now have 40 free practice tests with over 3,900 total questions.

New Tutorial:
Brian Gibson (Foxynox) has contributed a new tutorial titled, "Windows 2003 Service Pack 1 – In plain English! (part 1)". This tutorial explains many of the changes that Windows Server 2003 Service Pack 1 will make to your server when you install it.

LPI Certification Changes

On May 10th, 2005 the Linux Professional Institute announced several changes coming for their certifications exams. LPI will be reviewing their exam objectives for their LPIC-1 and LPIC-2 exams, possibly leading to revisions.

LPI has also combined exam forms 101 and 151. These separate exam forms on Exam 101 for LPIC-1 gave exam candidates a choice between RPM and DPKG package management. LPI cites community consensus that a Linux systems administrator should know both packages.
