Microsoft has announced a second shot at any failed MCP exam. The offer is available worldwide until May 31st and will work for VUE or Prometric testing centers. For more information, click here.
Microsoft has announced that they will begin using performance-based testing on their exams. Simulations will be added to the 70-290 and 70-291 exams beginning March 31, 2005. Other exams will follow and a schedule of this will be posted on Microsoft's site sometime in March. For more information, click here.
Microsoft has announced a new promotion whereby 2 candidates can take the 70-270 exam for the price of 1. The first person must take the exam by June 30th and the second person must take it by November 30th. In a separate offer, you can receive a 1 year subscription to an eReference library of nine reference books when you register for the offer and earn the MCSA for Windows Server System 2003 certification. Microsoft Learning is offering you a free E-learning course (#2285) to help you prepare for your MCP exam. The online course currently being offered will teach you how to install, administer, and configure Microsoft® Windows® XP Professional Service Pack 2 and can be accessed here.
The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) announced that the number of exams they have delivered globally has now surpassed the 75,000 mark. The program began in 2000 and the number of candidates continues to grow steadily according to LPI.
