New Microsoft Partner Competency Exam

Microsoft released a new certification exam on January 26th, 2005 titled, "Developing E-Business Solutions Using Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004" and uses exam code 74-134. The exam does not count toward the MCP program and is designed for those that have experience installing Microsoft operating systems and applications using the OEM Pre-installation Kit (OPK). Specifically, it targets OEMs who build Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, and SBS systems.

New Server+ on Feb 14

Comptia has announced that the updated Server+ exam will be released on February 14, 2005. The current exam will retire on March 31st, 2005.

CompTIA also announced that they will be selling a 32 page PDF file titled "Server+ Supplemental Guide" for $24.95. CompTIA chose to sell this guide so that there were preparation materials available at the time of release. This is the first time CompTIA has done this.
