CertifyPro.com Relaunch: Now that we are no longer selling practice tests at CertifyPro.com, we have relaunched the site and dedicated it to providing tips and tricks that will help you save a lot of money on your certifications. If you have any tips or links that we have missed, we would like to hear about them. Just reply to this post with your suggestions. New Linux Certification Forums: Per the suggestion of one of our members, we have added 3 new forums for Linux certifications. The new forums are LPI, Red Hat, and Other Linux Certifications. I will be moving any older posts that apply to these new forums. New Practice Test Questions Added: We have added the following questions to our Testing Center. Added 55 new questions to our RH302 exam for a total of 101 Added 50 new questions to our CIW Foundations for a total of 100 Added 50 questions to our CCNA exam for a total of 200. On November 29th, Prosoft Training announced the release of the v5 version of their CIW Foundations exam. The new exam code is 1D0-510. The v4 version of the exam will retire on January 31st, 2005. More information can be found here.
After January 31st, 2005 Prosoft Training will no longer allow individuals who have passed their CompTIA i-Net+ certification to pay a fee and automatically get a CIW Foundations credential. This is due to the fact that with the release of the version 5 Foundations exam, the exam objectives are no longer comparable. For more information, click here.
The Oracle8i Certified Professional Database Administrator certification program will retire on December 31, 2004. The following exams will no longer be available: Exam 1Z0-023 Oracle8i: Architecture and Administration Exam 1Z0-024 Oracle8i: Performance and Tuning Exam 1Z0-025 Oracle8i: Backup and Recovery Exam 1Z0-026 Oracle8i: Network Administration All OCPs who are certified on Oracle8i will retain their DBA OCP certification after the track is retired.
